Irrationality of in important teaching
by Ireneus injesus used illustration to make things clear.
hence imagine yourself in a situation which reminds you of an important teaching:.
you are in a super market, and you are told: “someone has already paid for whatever you have purchased”[as churches teach through their ransom sacrifice].

Obviously Jehovah and Christ Jesus never felt the same way about Satan as Jehovah`s Witnesses do ? or other Christians for that matter .
by smiddy3 insimply put , jehovah tolerated satan coming and going before him in the heavenly realm for six thousand years before having him cast out of heaven .. think about that, six thousand years .!
and having conversations jehovah and satan .no shunning of him in all this time .6000 years.
we have an example of that in the book of job.and elsewhere.. the same is true with jesus christ ,according to the jehovah`s witnesses he was the first born of all creation and he also obviously tolerated satan for six thousand years .their is no example of shunning their either .. jesus was tempted by satan for fourty days { why was he with him for fourty days anyway ?

Yeah, Jehovah and Jesus cleaned up their house of Satan and threw him down to the earth where all the poor humans, under the burden of sin, now had to suffer even more with the original "murderer" of their parents.
I'm glad God loves us. Imagine if he hated us?

smiddy3 - The WT always has an explanation. Evidently, since Adam didn't live to be 1,000 years old, he "died" before a day was thru.
But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

That was a good read. He took great care and time to portray the characters as human - just caught up in a religion.
I looked in the comments and found this hilarious quote “In a cult there is a person at the top who knows it’s a scam. In religion that person is dead”.

Be Couragous! - (Like The Governing Body?)
by pale.emperor ini was watching lloyd evans rebuttal to the saturday program of the be courageous convention.
lloyd pointed out something that had occurred to me as well:.
all this talk and examples of courage, whether it be standing up in class defending intelligent design, putting up with being imprisoned, not running away from bullies, always having a reply to someone who tries to ridicule your faith... the young ones are encourages - nay, commanded - to stand their ground and be courageous.

I never thought about Jesus being a coward but it works! He knew his father wasn't going to help him out with a miracle so he ran.

How about leading from example?
Seems they are following their Master Jesus Christ who once slipped away from an angry crowd:
John 8:59: At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds -

FedUpJW - I believe you are right. They mock themselves. lol
Diogenesister - Maybe as a temple prostitute, she was getting rid of her "pimp" nation. But she is the person always held up as a shinning example of being righteous because she lied. God always needs humans to lie for him since he can't do anything that will taint the "results" of his righteous test.
Carla - Yeah, only God's servants are entitled to knowing the truth. And some are more entitled than others.
You know, every time I type in BELIEVE, I just see this be LIE ve

Study article for October: Speaking the Truth
The article is about lying, but the WT is all about lying. I guess they are concerned with their followers lying to them!
You got to love the strange way the WT compares apples to oranges.
THE telephone, the electric light bulb, the automobile, and the refrigerator are just some of the inventions that have improved everyday life. Other innovations, though, have made life more dangerous—gunpowder, land mines, cigarettes, and the atomic bomb, to name a few. However, there is a device that predates all of them and that has had the worst possible effect on humankind. What is it? The lie!
Yes a lie is a device. Like a bomb!
Satan’s lie was malicious because he knew full well that if Eve believed him and ate the fruit, she would die.
The WT wants you to know that the kind of lie Satan told, was malicious. Because in an earlier article, it praised Rahab and her lies that saved the Israelite spies. The WT divides lies into catagories. Lying for God is good since it doesn't hurt his
peopleGB and the malicious lies - the ones that impactGODthe GB in a negative way, are bad.The article points out what the GB is concerned about right now. But first, they want you to know how bad the other religions are and how they would never ever do something as bad as lying. (This type of BS is put in so that the regular JW will think to themselves - the GB would never lie to us! That would be so bad!)
Religious leaders who lie are especially guilty because they endanger the future life prospects of those who believe their lies
Whether called pastors, priests, rabbis, swamis, or by some other title, religious leaders abound in the world today. Like their first-century counterparts, they are “suppressing the truth” from God’s Word and have “exchanged the truth of God for the lie.” (Rom. 1:18, 25) They promote such false teachings as “once saved, always saved,” the immortality of the human soul, reincarnation, and the foolish idea that God would condone homosexual lifestyles and same-sex marriages.- Of course, Ananias and Sapphira who held back money are the big examples. The GB are thinking of JW's who aren't giving what the GB think they should.
- Young ones leading a double life
- Knowing someone who has committed a serious sin. Do you tell the whole truth? The Elders have the right you know, to know everything about it. So they can help the person of course.
- The pioneers have to fill out an application. Notice what is the first on this list.
Perhaps you wish to serve as a regular pioneer or in some feature of special full-time service, such as at Bethel. During the application process, it is important that you give honest and completely truthful answers to all the questions asked regarding your health, choices of entertainment, and morals.
Being a pioneer or at Bethel is a high position. Funny how if your health isn't that great, you can't worship Jehovah in a fuller capacity. You can't get the title. And they don't want your medical bills.
At the end of the article, they finally talk about speaking the truth. But you can't speak "the truth" without the quotes. lol
WE “SPEAK THE TRUTH”
What is one way that true Christians distinguish themselves from members of false religions? We “speak the truth.” -

One man who received the book shared it with his friends immediately. He was “struck” by its message. He recounts: “I was walking down Third Avenue [and] I was struck on the shoulder by what I thought was a brick, but, alas, it was ‘The Finished Mystery.’ I brought it home and read it all. . . . I have since learned that it was a preacher . . . who threw the book from his window in a rage . . . By that one act of his I firmly believe that he converted more people to a living hope than by any other act of his life. . . . Through this preacher’s wrath we now praise God.”
Remember how they used to tell a story of a Brother who witnessed on a train? He gave a truth book to a businessman who then tossed it out the window. It hit a man who was contemplating suicide but then he read the book and became a Witness. Same old crap.
At this meeting, held on January 5, 1918, several prominent men who had been dismissed from Bethel attempted to gain control of the organization. Richard H. Barber, a faithful traveling overseer, opened the meeting with prayer. After a report on the preceding year’s work, the annual election of directors was held. Brother Barber nominated Joseph Rutherford and six other brothers. Then an attorney who sided with the opposers nominated seven other men, including the ones who had been dismissed from Bethel. They were defeated. By an overwhelming majority, the shareholders elected Brother Rutherford and six other faithful brothers to be directors.
Then they go on about how they got the upperhand and voted in "Judge" Rutherford. Probably wanting to prove that God is with them. Or maybe they are fearful of more spiritual men trying to take the reins away from them. Or they want to make up a few stories to instill fear of apostates trying to take over from within. Or maybe there are those within trying to turn the tide.
Canadian officials banned the book on February 12, 1918, alleging that it contained seditious and antiwar statements. Shortly thereafter, officials in the United States followed suit.
If it wasn't, why did they tear out the pages? Those early magazines were nothing but political so it isn't surprising that The Finished Mystery book was too.
Then they admit that even tho the Government told them not to distribute the book, WT ignored that. It wasn't the bible, just a book some man wrote. So they go against God's authority claiming that they are doing God's work by pushing their book.
Probably just feeds into the whole Russian ban and we might be persecuted next.

…Is Jehovah Actively Exposing The Wicked Watchtower Society In The Child Abuse Cases? (Ezekiel 36:12)
by MADMARY inezekiel 36:3-15 tells us about a “bad report” that would go out among the nations about apostate israel.
verse 12 of this chapter shows us that jehovah takes a direct hand in this affair in fighting against his own people.
so we can ask, are we today seeing god’s active hand against the watchtower society in exposing the child abuse cases among jehovah’s witnesses around the world?

If Jehovah is sending a "bad report" report amongst the nations, he's a little late isn't he? Couldn't do it himself like 40 or 50 years ago right? Had to rely on many children being abused so that the WT could be taken to court and "apostates" to work trying to get it to stop and justice to be done.
I realize that you just want people to read your stuff, but really.

I wanted to down vote it, only because of what the WT said.
So the WT is really saying that if the congregation had been formed, Jesus would have condemned him?
The disciples were sent off by Jesus to preach and came back telling him of casting out demons in his name. And Jesus exclaimed that he saw Satan falling from the heavens.
17The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.” 18So He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you.
So Jesus didn't have to have a congregation in order for his disciples to perform miracles.
The WT sounds just like the pharisees indeed. No one can do any good unless the GB says you can.
